Regarding the introduction of 3D Secure 2.0

Hobonichi Store introduced 3D Secure 2.0 which enhances the security of credit card transactions.
3D Secure 2.0 is a system that reduces the risk of unauthorized credit card use by performing identity authentication during payment.

After December 2, 2024, you may be presented with an identity authentication screen provided by your credit card company.
When the identity authentication screen appears, complete the authentication.
The identity authentication method differs for each credit card company.

Important information
-Credit cards that do not support 3D Secure 2.0 cannot be used. Credit cards registered to your Hobonichi Store account may not be usable if they do not support 3D Secure 2.0. Please check with your credit card company.
-With the introduction of 3D Secure 2.0, entering the cardholder’s name is required. For any credit card registered to your Hobonichi Store account previously, please ensure to input the cardholder’s name during the checkout process.
-Even if identity authentication is successfully completed, your transaction may not be approved by your credit card company, depending on the status of your credit card. In such cases, please be advised that your order cannot be completed.

Depending on devices or system settings as described below, 3D Secure 2.0 may not function properly.
-If software that blocks pop-up windows is installed
-If you are using security software or if the security level is set to “High”
-Due to your device setup (such as the combination of OS and browser), identity authentication may not function or display correctly.

If you cannot complete your credit card payment after checking the above, please contact your credit card company.
