If an order is still listed as “Order received”, you may cancel the order through Hobonichi Store account. After the status changes to “Shipping soon”, which means that the order is in shipping preparation process, you cannot cancel the order.
How to cancel an entire order:
- Log in to Hobonichi Store account.
- Select the order you would like to cancel.
- Click “Cancel order” at the bottom of the page.
- If the order no longer appears in your account, your order has successfully been cancelled.
A notification email of the cancellation will be sent to you after the Hobonichi Store system cancels the original verification.
How to cancel an item from an order:
Only domestic orders are eligible for cancellation of individual items. On the account page that displays product quantity, set the item quantity to 0. Please see here for instructions on changing the quantity of a product.
About credit card transactions: When you modify the contents of your order, the Hobonichi Store system cancels the original verification charge, and then requests another verification charge for the new amount. These are only verifications, as the card is not truly charged until the day after shipment preparation begins.
A notification email of the cancellation will be sent to you after the Hobonichi Store system cancels the original verification. Orders cannot be changed or cancelled in the following circumstances:
- The sales period for the product has ended.
- Your order has entered shipping preparations and is no longer listed as ""Order received"".
