If you set a reminder for the day and time you want to open the Hobonichi Techo app, Senpai will notify you via a notification (push notification).
If you are not receiving reminder notifications, the following causes are possible.
Notification settings are turned off
Please check the app's notification settings with the following steps.
*Settings may be reset and turned off, for example, when reinstalling the app.
- Tap [Menu] at the bottom right of the app.
- Tap [Settings & Payment Information].
- Tap [Notification Settings].

Check if the [Reminders] item is set to "ON".
If it is "OFF", please tap the button to change it to "ON".
<About reminder time settings>
When you turn [Reminders] "ON", the days of the week from Monday to Sunday will be displayed. Please check (✓) the button for the "Day" you want to receive notifications and set your preferred "Time".*Setting examples
・Set to 21:00 Mon-Fri / 19:00 Sat-Sun (Reflect on the day and record every night)
・Set to 7:00 daily (Reflect on the previous day and record every morning when you wake up)
・Set to 20:00 on Sunday only (Reflect on the week and record all at once every Sunday night)
Device notification settings are turned off
Please also check the notification settings on your device side with the following steps.
For iPhone
- Open the iPhone "Settings" app.
- Scroll down and tap "Notifications".
- Find and tap the "Hobonichi Techo" app.

Check the following settings:
- Is "Allow Notifications" turned "On" (green)?
*If it is off, please turn it on. - Is the notification style (Lock Screen / Notification Center / Banners) set to your preference?
*Please set the style as you prefer.
- Is "Allow Notifications" turned "On" (green)?
For Android
- Open "Settings".
- Scroll down and tap "Notifications".
- Tap "App notifications".

Check if the "Hobonichi Techo" app section is turned "On".
If it is off, please turn it on.
Low Power Mode / Power Saving Mode is on
Push notifications may be restricted during Low Power Mode / Power Saving Mode.
Please check your device settings to see if Low Power Mode / Power Saving Mode is on.
For iPhone
- Open the iPhone "Settings" app.
- Tap "Battery".
- Check if "Low Power Mode" is turned on.
For Android
Menu names vary depending on the device, so the following is an example.
- Open "Settings".

Tap "Battery" (*).
*May be named "Battery and device care", "Battery & performance", etc. -
Check if items related to "Power saving mode" (*) are turned on.
*May be named "Battery Saver", "STAMINA mode", etc.
If the issue is not resolved after checking all the above
Please try the following.
Update the app to the latest version
Please update the app to the latest version from the app store.
Reset notification settings (OFF -> ON)
Resetting the app's notifications may allow notifications to be received.
Please try turning the notification settings "OFF" once and then "ON" again with the following steps, and see if you receive notifications at the set time.
- Tap [Menu] at the bottom right of the app.
- Tap [Settings & Payment Information].
- Tap [Notification Settings].
- Turn the [Reminders] item "OFF" once, and then set it to "ON" again.
