To enhance credit card payment security for domestic orders, the Hobonichi Online Store has implemented 3D Secure 2.0 as of December 2, 2024. 3D Secure 2.0 is an authentication system designed to reduce the risk of fraudulent use by verifying the identity of the cardholder during the checkout process.

When shopping on our site, you may see an identity verification screen provided by your credit card company.
If prompted, please complete the authentication process. The authentication method may vary depending on your credit card company. For details, please contact your card issuer directly.

Important Notes

-Credit cards that are not compatible with 3D Secure 2.0 cannot be used for payment. Even if your card was registered to your account before the introduction of 3D Secure 2.0, it may no longer be usable.
Please contact your card issuer to confirm whether your card is compatible.

-As part of this update, entering the cardholder’s name is now required for all credit card payments. If your credit card was registered to your account before  the introduction of 3D Secure 2.0, you will be asked to enter the cardholder’s name during checkout.

-Even if authentication is successfully completed, your payment may still be declined depending on your credit card’s usage status or your card issuer’s review. In such cases, the order cannot be completed. We appreciate your understanding.

-Depending on your device settings or environment, the 3D Secure 2.0 process may not function properly.
Please check the following:

・If you are using software that blocks pop-up windows

・If you are using security software or your browser’s security settings are set to a high level

・If your device environment (such as OS or browser) prevents proper authentication or screen display
