Acquiring location information allows you to automatically record "Places Visited" on your timeline and record your daily Travel Routes on the map as "Today’s Path".

How to acquire location information (iPhone)
This method is for setting up for the first time if you did not allow Location information acquisition during the initial setup.
Tap "Menu" at the bottom right of the app.
Tap "Settings & Payment Information".
Tap "Data Acquisition".
Tap the "Location" field.
Tap "Allow While Using App" in the displayed dialog.

Tap the "Location" field again and tap "Change to 'Always Allow'" (*).
*To record places visited when the app is not open (background), you must set Location information acquisition to "Always Allow". (If you set it to "Allow While Using App", only the location information when you launch the app will be recorded.)
Tap "Not Connected" in the "Activity App permissions" field on the same screen.

In the displayed dialog, "Allow" access to Motion & Fitness activities.
*This setting utilizes the device's motion sensor to optimize location information acquisition.
The Location Accuracy is initially set to "Standard". If you want to record with higher accuracy, please change it to "High" (details here).
How to acquire location information (Android)
This method is for setting up for the first time if you did not allow Location information acquisition during the initial setup.

*To record places visited when the app is not open (background), you must set Location information acquisition to "Allow all the time". (If you set it to "Allow only while using the app", only the location information when you launch the app will be recorded.)

When the confirmation for "Physical activity" access appears, tap "Allow".
*This setting utilizes the device's motion sensor to optimize Location information acquisition.
How to change location acquisition settings (iPhone)
Tap "Menu" at the bottom right of the app.
Tap "Settings & Payment Information".
Tap "Data Acquisition".
Tapping the "Location" field will take you to the device's settings screen.

Tap "Location" and change to your desired setting.
*If you choose a setting other than "Always", you will not be able to record places visited when the app is not open.
*If you want to record Location information, please turn on "Precise Location".
How to change location acquisition settings (Android)

Tap "Data Acquisition".
Tapping the "Location" field will take you to the device's settings screen.

Tap "Permissions" (and then "Location" if needed) and change to your desired setting.
*If you choose a setting other than "Allow all the time", you will not be able to record places visited when the app is not open.
*If you want to record Location information, please turn on "Use precise location".
How to change recording accuracy (iPhone)
You can choose from three levels of recording accuracy: "High", "Standard", and "Low".
High Acquires Location information frequently even in the background. However, a blue status bar will appear at the top of your iPhone while Location information is being acquired. "High" is recommended for those who want to record the places they visited with high accuracy.
Standard Acquires Location information with moderate frequency even in the background. This setting is recommended for those who want to record as accurately as possible but are concerned about the blue status bar appearing (this is the default setting).
Low Minimizes the frequency of background Location information acquisition, resulting in lower recording accuracy. Select "Low" if you want to prioritize minimizing battery consumption.
The initial setting is "Standard", but please change it to your preferred setting according to your usage by following the steps below.
Tap "Menu" at the bottom right of the app.
Tap "Settings & Payment Information".
Tap "Data Acquisition".
Select "High", "Standard", or "Low" for "Location Accuracy".

Low Setting to 'Low' reduces the frequency of background location acquisition, which saves battery, at the cost of location accuracy. Select "Low" if you want to prioritize minimizing battery consumption.
