Linking with your device's photos allows you to record photos and videos taken on your smartphone to your timeline. Please see the settings below that match your preference.
*Regarding the upload of photos and videos to the cloud, it differs between the Free Plan and Premium Plan. Please refer to this Help page for details on the differences.
How to acquire photos and videos "Automatically"
If you want to automatically import photos and videos from your device into the app, please follow the steps below.
Tap "Menu" at the bottom right of the app.
Tap "Settings & Payment Information".
Tap "Data Acquisition".
Tap the "Photos" field.
Allow access to your device's photo library (gallery) using the following steps.
iPhone
If a dialog opens: Tap "Allow Full Access".
If the device settings screen opens: Tap "Photos", then tap "Full Access".
Android
If a dialog opens: Tap "Allow all".
If the device settings screen opens: Tap "Permissions", tap "Photos and Videos", then tap "Allow all".
*Note: Android item names may vary depending on the model, so the above is an example.
Return to the screen from step 4 and turn "Automatic acquisition" ON.
This completes the settings.
Once setup is complete, subsequent photo and video data will be automatically acquired.
How to post photos and videos "Manually only"
If you do not want to automatically import photos and videos from your device into the app, but only want to post them manually, please turn "Automatic acquisition" OFF using the following steps.
Tap "Menu" at the bottom right of the app.
Tap "Settings & Payment Information".
Tap "Data Acquisition".
If the "Photos" field says "Not Connected", tap the text to proceed to step 5. If it says "Connected" or "Restricted", proceed to step 6.
Allow access to your device's photo library (gallery) using the following steps. If you want to select from all photos on your device when posting, please allow "Full Access". If you want to choose only from pre-selected photos, please set to "Limited Access" (permission names vary by device).
iPhone
If a dialog opens: Tap "Allow Full Access" or "Limited Access".
If the device settings screen opens: Tap "Photos", then tap "Full Access" or "Limited Access".
Android
If a dialog opens: Tap "Allow all" or "Allow limited access" (*).
If the device settings screen opens: Tap "Permissions", tap "Photos and Videos", then tap "Allow all" or "Allow limited access" (*).
*Note: "Limited Access" may be labeled differently depending on the device, such as "Select photos and videos" or "Ask every time".
Return to the screen from step 4 and set the "Automatic acquisition" field to "OFF".
*Note: While photo/video data is syncing (when "Loading..." appears at the top of the app screen), the ON/OFF toggle button cannot be pressed. Please wait for the sync to finish before changing settings.
This completes the settings.
To post photos and videos manually, simply tap "Photos/Videos" from the "+" button at the bottom of the app screen. For details, please refer to this Help page.
How to stop linking photos and videos
If you want to disconnect the link with your device's photo library (gallery), please change the settings using the following steps.
*If you delete the link, you will not be able to post manually either.
Tap "Menu" at the bottom right of the app.
Tap "Settings & Payment Information".
Tap "Data Acquisition".
Tap the "Photos" field.
When taken to the device settings screen, tap the following items to change them.
For iPhone: Tap "Photos" and change to "None".
For Android: Tap "Permissions", tap "Photos and Videos", then change to "Don't allow".
This completes the change of settings.
