We have received inquiries from some customers using Android devices stating that they cannot open the Hobonichi Techo App after entering the verification code when registering or logging in to their Hobonichi ID. This includes cases where the message "Login Canceled" is displayed.
Upon investigating this situation, we found that security apps on some devices are falsely detecting the Hobonichi Techo App login process.
For example, on Motorola devices, a feature called "Protection from online fraud" (Anti-Phishing) in the "Moto Secure" app causes this issue, and we have confirmed that logging in becomes possible by temporarily turning OFF "Protection from online fraud".
Similarly for other models, individual security settings (such as settings for anti-phishing measures) may be interfering, so we would appreciate it if you could check those settings.
Please note that since this issue is caused by security software or apps on your device, we are unable to provide further support regarding this matter. Thank you for your understanding.
To customers using Motorola devices
We have confirmed that logging in becomes possible by temporarily turning OFF "Protection from online fraud" in the "Moto Secure" settings. Although this operation is outside the scope of our support, the steps we have confirmed are as follows:
Open the "Moto Secure" app.
Scroll down and open "Protection from online fraud" (Anti-Phishing).
Turn OFF "Protect from online fraud".
Log in with your Hobonichi ID on the Hobonichi Techo App.
After logging in, open the "Moto Secure" app again and turn "Protect from online fraud" back ON.
If you have any questions, please contact the support for your respective security software or app.
