In the Hobonichi Techo App, by linking with your device's default calendar, you can automatically record schedules registered in the calendar to your timeline. Please refer to the details below regarding when and how synchronization occurs.
For instructions on how to link your calendar, please refer to this help page.
If your calendar (schedule) is not displaying, please refer to this help page.
■ Timing when schedules are synced to the app
In the Hobonichi Techo App, schedules from the device's default calendar are synced to the app the first time you open the app on or after the date of the schedule (the day itself).
*Therefore, schedules for future dates will not be displayed in the app until the day arrives.
Example: A schedule registered in the device's default calendar for "October 1, 2025, 12:00-13:00" will be synced to the app the first time you open the Hobonichi Techo App after "October 1, 2025, 0:00".
For example, if you do not open the app all day on October 1, 2025, and open it on October 2, 2025, the schedule for "October 1, 2025, 12:00-13:00" will be synced to the app at that time.
■ About schedules changed in the device's calendar
Once a schedule has been synced from the device's default calendar to the Hobonichi Techo App, any subsequent changes made on the device's default calendar will not be reflected in the app.
*You can edit the date, time, and title of the schedule within the app (instructions here).
If changes are made in the device's default calendar before syncing to the Hobonichi Techo App, they will be reflected because the latest information is loaded when syncing to the app.
■ About schedules added to the device's calendar
New schedules added on the day: If you add a new event to your device calendar during that day, it will be synced to the app.
Retroactive schedules: If the day has already passed and you add a schedule to your device calendar for a past date, it will not be reflected in the app.
Future schedules: As mentioned above, schedules added for future dates will sync once that specific day arrives and the app is opened.
Example: If you add an event for "October 1, 2025" to your device calendar during the period of "October 1, 2025, 0:00–23:59," it will be synced the next time you open the app.
On the other hand, if it is already October 2, 2025, and you add an event dated "October 1, 2025" to your device calendar, it will not be reflected in the app.
Please note that schedules added manually via the app's "+" button can be added and edited at any time, including future, current, and past dates. (For past dates, additions are possible starting from 50 days prior to the start date of use.)
Currently, the Hobonichi Techo App is designed primarily to help you preserve your daily life as "memories," so there may be aspects that are not suitable for use as a schedule management tool.
We will continue to consider future developments based on customer feedback, but we appreciate your understanding regarding the current specifications.
