The Free Plan and the paid Premium Plan have the following differences regarding photos and videos.

Clipping targets for "Today's Cover" 

In the Free Plan, you cannot clip videos to "Today's Cover."

*For records (content) other than videos, even on the Free Plan you can clip all types of content—including schedules and notes—to the “Cover,” with no difference from the Premium Plan.

Uploading photo and video data to the cloud

In the Free Plan, photos clipped to "Today's Cover" are uploaded to the cloud and stored, but other photos/videos recorded on the timeline are not uploaded to the cloud.

*Photos/videos acquired after the Premium Plan subscription date are automatically uploaded to the cloud, but those acquired before the subscription date are not automatically uploaded (manual upload is possible). For details, please see this help page.

*For records (content) other than photos and videos, all types of content—including schedules, notes and Today’s Reflections —are uploaded to the cloud even on the Free Plan.

< Important Information for the Free Plan > 

• Photos and videos that are not clipped to “Today’s Cover” are not uploaded to the cloud. As a result, if you delete the data from your device’s photo library (gallery), they will no longer appear on the timeline. Also, data cannot be transferred when changing devices. 
• When you unclip a photo currently clipped to "Today's Cover," if the corresponding data does not exist on the device, it will no longer appear on the timeline.
