If your login method is "Email address and Password"

1. Click or tap “Change your email address” on your account page.
2. Enter the email address that you wish to update to and click / tap “Continue”.
3. An email with verification code will be sent to the email address you entered, whose title is “[Hobonichi] Verification Code”.
4. Enter the 6-digit verification code from the email into the box on the page and click / tap "Continue" to complete the change procedure.

If your login method is ‘Continue with Google’ or ‘Continue with Apple’

If you use these login methods, you cannot change your email address directly via the "Change your email address" button on your account page.
To update your registered email address, you need to create a new Hobonichi ID and then merge your current account into the new one. 
Please follow the instructions below to create a new Hobonichi ID account and link it to the existing account:

1. Go to the Hobonichi ID account page and click or tap “Sign up for Hobonichi ID.”
2. Create the new Hobonichi ID by clicking on the link “Registration” at the bottom.
3. Click “Link your account” on the Hobonichi ID account page after completing the registration process.
4. Click on the “Log in with your Hobonichi ID” beneath “Merge your Hobonichi ID” at the bottom of the “Link your accounts.“ page.
5. Enter the email address and password of your old Hobonichi ID account.

*Important Notice for Hobonichi Techo App Users: 
If you are using the Hobonichi Techo App with an account registered via ‘Continue with Google’ or ‘Continue with Apple,’ you cannot change your email address using the procedure above. Please reach out to us with your new email address if you would like to make a change.
